As I have traveled through our country, through Ohio, Indiana and Michigan, I've notice some striking things taking place. Two weeks ago I left on a Wednesday and saw gray trees. I could see deep into the woods and see some creatures running. Three days later while returning home, I saw that the visibility was less. Small leaves had formed and trees were in bloom. By Tuesday, you could only see the front row of trees. Why? Because in one week, the rain and warmth from sunshine caused the leaves to bloom and blot out the forest. How quickly in eight to ten days, the scene can change from rain and warm sunshine! many times, a person's life can be left gray and barren because of the storms of life. At those times we can feel poverty stricken - even questioning God's existence. It is at those times that we need to bow our heads and begin to sing softly, "Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus." At times I've felt poverty stricken. Jesus said, "The poor you have with you always." There are times when we are at a total lost. At that time as I begin to worship the Lord, I can hear Jesus say, "You don't have to be poverty stricken. Trust in Me and I will supply all your needs." Now I believe in prosperity. but if times come when I am in need, I know I don't have to fret or worry. My God has never failed me yet. A song written years ago said, "My Jesus knows just what I need!" Not want, What I need!
Are you a bit poverty smitten? Money wise? Sprit wise? Etc. Try Jesus and find that He has answers. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him, make Him Master of your life today and He will direct your life. I also invite you to come to our church and see were love is building relationships for eternity.
